Wedding day at Chez-Chicago

Chez Chicago

It was love at first sight when we stepped into the ultra fresh new event space Chez-Chicago early this year! It is stark and modern in style and has this ethereal light streaming in that feels like you are dreaming! It was the perfect backdrop for our Lichtenstein inspired wedding day!
All it needed was that POP!
And lucky for us, Amanda Hein was there to capture it all on film! She really has a great eye!
Magnificent Milestones

All things paper were created by Kara and the team at Magnificent Milestones. Her combination of dots and swirls, colors and patterns were right up our alley! She paid close attention to the details to set the tone for a fun and playful welcome.
Don’t you just love the skittles? We couldn’t resist!Portraits by Dilly Lily

Once inside you are greeted with portraits of the bride & groom that we created out of flowers! We were inspired of course by the silkscreen paintings of Mr POP Art himself, Andy Warhol. A little comic book humor; he looks ever-ready to marry his beauty with a vivacious I DO!

Then enters in Wendy and the delicious creations of Entertaining Company! (Labels created by Magnificent Milestones)

Pop Art Cocktail Hour

We really want this print for our kitchen!
Kale chips, beet chips, yam chips oh my!
Let’s start with a Blood Orange Martini – the signature drinks for the night!

If you get the chance you want to sit at her table! The food was so carefully curated and just look at the fresh vibrant colors! LOVE!

Dilly Lily

To carry out the evening Dilly LiIy created the florals and styled the room  – which would not have been possible without our constant partners at Tablescapes Event Rentals which provided all the contemporary table setting ( triangle plates and cool stemware) as well as the uber cool white laquer table and white mirage ghost chairs – which we have been using over and over for our brides! SO chic!

Enchanted Forest Wedding | Photo Shoot | Chicago

DillyLily_071714_15Our lovely bride wears a long fitted blue mermaid style dress that compliments the lush earthy greens that covers her tablescape.

Our forest themed look has accents of succulents , peacock feathers, and blue mercury glass. The barked wood containers, driftwood, ferns, and moss add to the woodsy aesthetics of the photo shoot.  Instead of a traditional white dress this bride chose blue embrace the dress her mother wore almost 30 years ago for her wedding. The orchids were the first flower she fell in love with on her journey to becoming a floral designer.

To get married with Dilly Lily flowers, surrounded by nature would be a dream come true.

Chicago’s Local Flower Farmers

With the Summer sun in full force we have the opportunity to fully support Chicagoland’s natural flower farms. Our local growers deliver the freshest summer flowers in bright and abundant colors! We take pride of not only having beautiful unique flowers in our bouquets, but also supporting our natural local partners whenever possible. Take a look below at what they brought us this week!

Picking from our favorite local fresh flowers, Christine Noelle put together this bridal, garden bouquet– perfect for any casual Summer Wedding!

Chicago Wedding at Loft on Lake!

Ally and Ben’s Chicago wedding was filled with love, happiness and peonies! The Dilly Lily had a great time designing and delivering the urban-rustic inspired florals for this fun and elegant wedding at Loft on Lake!

AllyBen-0449 AllyBen-0559The birch pole Chuppah was lightly decorated with white blooms, seeded eucalyptus and vines trailing loosely across the birch.

AllyBen-0919Following the wedding trends, Ally chose burlap table runners, mercury vases with soft and romantic vintage florals as her theme.

A lifetime of happiness to the happy couple!

Emerald Rehearsal Dinner at the Boarding House – Chicago

012_EmeraldGreen Emerald was the Pantone color of the year! So we celebrated it!  Enjoy!

All photography by Jennifer Kathryn Photography  and Styling by Megan Andalman of Lovebird Events, Loreen Hospodar of Reenie Rose & Jennifer Kathryn.
Our Venue was the chic and delicious Boarding House in Chicago. And Dilly Lily arranged all the gorgeous flowers in these one-of-a-kind wine bottle containers dreamed up by Loreen! They were very cool!

Invitation by Nico & LaLa

All the invitations and paper products were custom designed by the dynamic duo at Nico & Lala

Our flowers finished the tables and set the perfect romantic tone. They were a wonderful blanc d’ blanc combination of hydrangeas, garden roses, succulents and phalaenopsis orchids! And we accented the tables with mercury votives in mixed metals- golds, silvers, and bronze-  a great current wedding trend! Our overall style was luxe and lush!
The talented Loreen was at it once again and handmade this monogramed table runner! It was the perfect touch!
Our sweets sections included the fanciful chocolates by Veruca Chocolates and Elysia Root Cakes designed the monogram cake!
The whole event came to life once these guys arrived! Dressed by JCrew and Bella Bridesmaid, their natural beauty was enhanced with hair and make-up by Nika Vaughan of Bridal Artists.  Our models: Julia Clark, Jordan Labinger (Bride & Groom) Hillary Kett, Clay Hamilton, Mel Wilson & Dan Wilson.
I loved our Whisky, Bourbon and Rye bar for the guys and those pennant stir sticks by Nico & LaLa are adorable! Here we added the strings of pearls to the centerpieces- it was a great addition!
Cheers! xo
Once again – the talented team!

Dilly Lily Wedding at RM Champagne Salon in Chicago

All dressed up with So Dressed Up! at RM
All dressed up with So Dressed Up! at RM

This past weekend was all about our wedding at RM Champagne Salon for two our favorite Grooms – Graham and Fran! The tables were set with candelabras and family heirloom silver trophies filled with a mix of woodland ferns for a dressed up bohemian evening. Apparel designer Elise Bergman enhanced the scene with her custom yellow pennants that criss crossed the outdoor patio evening sky. And all the details were seamlessly coordinated by Katie of So Dressed Up events; including all the guests arriving by Rickshaw!  We cannot wait to see the real pictures….coming soon!

UPDATE: One year later… Happy Anniversary to Graham and Fran – What a fantastic couple! Their wedding was such a delight and a true expression of this fun-loving couple!

Fleurotica at the MCA

Fleurotica 2013 was an amazing experience for all of us at Dilly Lily and Christine Noelle Design.  We are so honored to be among the top 30 floral designers in Chicago.  The creative talent was jaw dropping and inspiring.

Our designers, Christine Noelle, Kelly Decker, Eric Phillips and Brittney Kee were greatly inspired by the artwork currently posted at the MCA.  As you can see in the pictures below, there is a strong juxtaposition between the two intricate garments .  Unrest (first image below) was inspired by Jason Lazarus’s Phase I/Live Archive, while the the lighter garment Concordia “with one heart” (last image below) strived to depict the serenity of an ideal, yet mythical, utopian society.

Thank you Chicago Racked for the following beautiful images!
To hear and see more about this fashionable event, check out  Margaret O’Connors article in “i on the scene“. She was there mingling with all the chic and trendsetting supporters of the Garfield Park Conservatory and has captured the glamorous side of life.

Thank you again to both the MCA for hosting this amazing event, and to the Garfield Park Conservatory for allowing a platform for us to be creative on.  We would also like to give a nod to Scarlet Pedal’s designer Sarah Anderson for creating the winning look “Mucha in the Fern Room!”

See everyone at Fleurotica 2014!
